Why Volunteer with Clairemont Hilltoppers Little League

Clairemont Hilltoppers runs on community — parents, grandparents, friends, and neighbors who come together so every child can experience the fun and teamwork that make Little League special.

When you volunteer, you’re helping create more than baseball games — you’re building memories, friendships, and confidence for our kids. From coaching and scorekeeping to helping in the snack bar or setting up the fields, every volunteer plays a part in making each season a success.

No experience is needed — just a positive attitude and a willingness to pitch in. Whether you can give a few hours a week or just help out on game days, your time makes a real difference.  Most opportunities require little to no training but if needed, CHLL will provide the necessary training to support you in whatever role you choose.

Together, we keep the Hilltoppers spirit alive and make Clairemont a place where kids, families, and baseball thrive.

Volunteer Deposit

At Clairemont Hilltoppers Little League, our league runs entirely on the help of dedicated volunteers — parents, family members, and community supporters who make every season possible!

What is the Volunteer Deposit?

Each family is asked to provide a volunteer deposit at the start of the season. This deposit helps encourage everyone to contribute a few hours of their time to league activities such as:

  • Working a shift at the snack bar

  • Helping with field prep or cleanup

  • Coaching or assisting with a team

  • Volunteering at events like Opening Day or Picture Day

How It Works

  • The deposit is typically $75 per family (set by the league each season).

  • It is refundable once volunteer hours are completed.

  • Volunteer hours will be tracked by either a volunteer log or sign-up sheet managed by our volunteer coordinator.

  • If the volunteer commitment is not fulfilled, the deposit will be used to help cover league operating costs.
