Little League Age

Your player’s league age is determined by the Little League Baseball® Age Chart. For example for Spring 2026, the Age Determination Date for a Little League baseball player is the actual age of a child on August 31, 2026.

t-ball

4-year-olds and first time 5-year-olds are eligible to play in the T-Ball division only. Beginner 6-year-olds should also register for T-Ball. In the T-Ball division, a (somewhat softer) ball is used. Pitching is not permitted in T-Ball. Instead, the ball is batted from a tee. T-Ball players do not participate in assessments.

Tee-ball does NOT need to attend assessments.

NOTE:  Friend and manager requests are accepted for T-Ball division. The player agents will do their best to honor requests, but they are not guaranteed.

rookie

Experienced and skilled 5-year-olds, returning 6-year-olds and some beginner 7 year olds should register for Rookies. In the Rookies division, the coaches start the season with coach pitch then halfway through the season they use a pitching machine to provide consistent pitches, enabling players to develop proper hitting mechanics. If a player is unable to put the ball in play after 5 good pitches from the machine or coach, the player will hit from a batting tee. Rookies uses the same softer ball which is used in T-Ball.

Rookie does NOT need to attend assessments. (**Should a League Age 6 year old want to be considered for Farm, they must contact the player agent and attend assessments.)

NOTE:  Friend and manager requests are accepted for Rookie division. The player agents will do their best to honor requests, but they are not guaranteed.

farm

The Farm division is for predominantly 7- and 8-year-old ballplayers, advanced and highly-skilled 6-year-olds and beginner 9-year-olds. Players in the Farm division are required to attend assessments and are placed on teams based on results from the assessments, manager input and attempts at making teams fair and balanced. The Farm division uses a pitching machine for all games. The only exception is two innings of kid pitch in the last two innings of games toward the end of the season. All divisions from Farm to Intermediate have a postseason single-elimination Championship Tournament, culminating in a Championship Game. For more skilled 7- and 8-year olds there is the opportunity to be chosen to play in the Little Stars tournament that takes place after the regular season.

All players MUST attend at least one assessment

NOTE: Friend and manager requests are considered at the Farm level. These are requests only and are not guaranteed due to the team formation procedure that includes making teams balanced and fair.

minor

The Minor division is for 9 and 10-year olds, and some 8 and 11-year olds. However, a child’s skill, not age, is the ultimate factor in deciding which division the 11-year old child is selected to, since 11-year olds can also play in the Intermediate division. In the Minor division, the players pitch to the opposite team and stealing bases is allowed.

All players MUST attend at least one assessment.

Due to the draft procedure, friend and manager requests are not honored at the Minor level and above.

All players MUST attend at least one assessment.
