Safety Officer

Clairemont Hilltoppers Little League  seeks to provide the safest environment possible for the players, spectators and volunteers. The board of directors, dedicated to the safe operation of this league, has approved this safety program. The plan is designed to prevent injury and accidents through education and training of volunteers and players, inspection of equipment and facilities on a regular basis, procedures for reporting and tracking accidents and injuries and a process for reviewing safety issues/concerns as they arise.

First Aid

The League requires at least one adult who is CPR/First Aid certified to be in attendance at all games.
All managers and coaches who have not been certified within the last two years are encouraged to attend first aid training.

American BLS provides free CPR training for coaches.
All coaches should take their FREE CPR Course and  Free First Aid Course and learn how to act in the event of a tragic injury.

Accidents can happen both on and off the field.

AED Machine is located in the Snack Bar!

Trained Volunteers

Clairemont Hilltoppers runs entirely on volunteer help. It is a Little League and Clairemont Hilltoppers requirement to do a background check on all volunteers that are in contact with the players or have access to their personal information.

All volunteers are also required to complete the following items:

Background Check: Any individual wishing to volunteer (i.e. umpires, board members, team parents, coaches) will be required to submit a volunteer application that can be accessed by signing into your account after clicking on the register tab above.

Abuse Awareness Training:
All volunteers with direct contact with players must complete child abuse and neglect reporting training.

Fingerprinting: All coaches and/or managers are required to undergo a Live Scan fingerprinting upon joining our program. The league pays the fee for this, and a booth will be setup at the field prior to the season. This only needs to be done one time, but must be done within our league even if you have been live scanned for another organization.

First Aid/CPR:

All coaches and/or managers are encouraged to participate in first aid training.

Concussion Training: (Required to coach or manage in Little League All Stars tournaments) In keeping with its focus on protecting the health, safety and welfare of children, LLB requires all leagues and teams to comply with all applicable laws and recommends the  review of the information and training materials on concussions which are available free of charge.

Diamond Leader Training: (Required to coach or manage in Little League All Stars tournaments) Focused on ensuring children have a positive, well-rounded experience on and off the field, the Little League® Diamond Leader Training Program is a FREE educational resource that provides coaches with an understanding of the impact that mental, social, and emotional well-being has in youth sports through detailed information, interactive scenarios, and a variety of additional resources. https://www.littleleague.org/diamondleader/
