A Message From Our League President

I am hoping that this message finds you and your family well, and that you are coping with the unprecedented events with which we are all dealing.

We are, of course, saddened that we have had this significant disruption to our Little League season, but we also recognize that many of us are dealing with health and economic situations that are much more critical to our daily lives.

We know that our kids miss being out on our beautiful ballfields with their friends, and we are missing the opportunity to coach them and watch them play. As some of you may know, Little League Baseball has asked all leagues to pause Little League activities until at least May 11, and we are doing that, but retaining hope that we will be able to resume play at some point.

We are closely following the news, and recognize that things are evolving on a daily (and even hourly) basis. We know that both you and your kids have questions about this season, and may have more in coming days. We are in contact with other leagues and our Regional and National offices, and are monitoring both their recommendations and those of local officials. We are not setting target dates or making concrete plans as of yet, but please know we are not forgetting about any of you and will update you as soon as we have information to share.

In the meantime, I hope that you can find time and a place to play catch with your kids, see them swing a bat, or practice their slides. We all need an outlet for some fresh air and exercise, and I can’t wait until we can share that outlet at our ballfields once again.
