Poker Tournament Is Back!

For 16 years, Clairemont Hilltoppers hosted an annual fundraiser poker tournament, which was a tremendously fun tradition for our parents, coaches, friends and alumni. Then came Covid, then came the loss of our longtime tournament location.

But in 2024, we're back baby!

Thanks to the fine folks at the AVID Center San Diego, we have a beautiful new venue, and we're excited to bring back this great annual event. On the evening of June 8 we will be coming together for a night full of fun, food, friends... and a little bit of card-playing. This is not the World Series of Poker, and it is not designed for expert card players. We're not playing for money. It's about an evening out where we play for some great prizes and raise a little money for Clairemont Hilltoppers. If you don't know how to play, come a little early and we will teach you.

Ask around and find some folks who have played in years past. They'll all tell you the same thing – it's a great time and they're coming back this year. Just $40 to enter, and this includes free appetizers and plenty of drinks (water, soda, tea, coffee). If you would like to bring your own alcohol, you are welcome to do that.

Our venue is the AVID Center at 9797 Aero Dr. (corner of Daley Center Dr.), just west of I-15. Tournament starts at 5:30 p.m. and goes until just one player remains and is crowned our champion.
